November made us all thankful for the many opportunities we have that lead towards success. Students in the Phlebotomy program were the first to begin their externships and are the first to finish their program. We are participating in the 4th Annual Ed Services Christmas Shoebox Project. This project is to provide the homeless in the downtown Riverside area with a shoebox filled with personal necessities wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper and love. The goal is to provide each person with a beautifully wrapped shoebox sized container filled with items such as toothbrush and paste, deodorants, soap, gloves, socks, etc.

Career Readiness Opportunities |
In December all classes will be engaged in Career Readiness Workshops. These workshops are made available so that students learn about the do’s and don’ts when preparing for an interview, are familiar with pathways, and so they are more confident in their interviewing skills. Local colleges will be invited to discuss with students various pathways that are available to them.
