This course prepares students for entry level competencies as phlebotomists in hospitals, clinics, blood banks and other healthcare settings. Students will learn injection control and proper handling techniques, venipuncture techniques, and specimen processing. Students will further developing skills in performing phlebotomy procedures during on-campus training followed by an internship.
