Students are always encouraged by their instructors to be a positive role model in their industry. This year, the Nursing Services & Support Occupations program once again worked on a service learning project to bring awareness on safety and health. Students worked with their classmates in small groups, researched their topics, and gained access to visit classrooms after obtaining administration approval.
Students engaged their audience through a PowerPoint presentation, visuals, activities, and a keepsake. The goal of their service learning project is to be knowledgeable on safety and health, familiarize themselves with available resources, and bring awareness. In doing projects such as these it allows our students to reinforce their knowledge and skills.
